Waterloo (#3) used overtime to beat Livonia (#2) 11-10 in the only game of the day that was not won by the higher seed. Peen Yan was an 18-1 winner over Midlakes in the other Class C semi final. In Class B Geneva beat Victor 13-6 and McQuaid Jesuit was a 15-11 winner over Eastridge.

It will be an all Webster semi final in the upper bracket of the Class A tournament as Thomas (#5) beat Fairport (#4) in double overtime. Schroeder beat last years's Champion, Penfield 13-4. All the other top seeded teams won, including Irondequoit, Canandaigua, Penn Yan Midlakes, Livonia, Waterloo and in Class B, Victor.

Livonia beat Aquinas, Brighton beat Gates in OT, Penn Yan beat Amherst and Fairport beat Orchard Park. Other winners included Eastridge, Penfield, Hilton, Pittsford and Newark.

Penn Yan won a decisive 8-1 victory over Canton (Section 10) and will be the only Section Five team to advance to the NYS semifinal round at Syracuse on Thursday. Geneva lost 11-5 to Amherst (Section 6) and Penfield lost 12-11 in the last minute of the game to Orchard Park (Section 6).

There were a number of big games played under wet conditions on Thursday. Penfield avenged an earlier loss to Fairport in a Monroe County game and Penn Yan used two over time periods to beat Canandaigua in Finger Lakes play. Schroeder was a one goal winner against Rush Henrietta and HFL won a big Class B win against Brighton.

After a tough vacation week schedule that included a win against Canandaigua and a loss to Penn Yan, Fairport finished vacation week with a dramatic 10-7 win over Corning East of Section 4. In other games Geneva lost a close game to Section 3 powerhouse CNS, Penn Yan beat Shenendehowa 10-2 and Schroeder beat Hamburg of Section 6 with a score of 12-3.

West Genesee won a 17-2 victory over Orchard Park of Section Six in Class A, Jamesville DeWitt was the 10-6 winner over HF-L in Class B and Lafayette was the 13-7 winner over Penn Yan in Class C.

It was the last weekend in the regular season and many games were played early to accommodate preparations for proms and balls. Pittsford nearly spoiled Penfield's undefeated season for the second year in a row. Schroeder won a big win against Amherst of Section Six and Brighton had a close win with Churchville-Chili. Meanwhile, Hilton and Spencerport combined for 32 goals in their game.

Honeoye Falls-Lima improved their record to 4-0 with a night game win at host Brighton, 17-5. After building a 5-3 lead in the first, the Cougars exploded in the second with 8 goals to Brighton's 1 to end the half up 13-3. Seven different players contributed to the 17 goals, 11 of which were assisted (65%).
